Where's The Beef

Perez Hilton recently blogged on FitPerez that Taco Bell is in the midst of a law suit about "false advertising".

What's false?

Nothing big... just THE BEEF.

WTF?

We all saw this coming — Taco Bell's "beef" is pretty much not beef at all.

An Alabama law firm is filing a class action suit against Taco Bell, claiming that the "beef" they serve only contains 36% beef, and the restaurant is therefore misleading customers.

The rest of the “beef” is actually made of wheat oats, soy lecithin, maltodextrin, anti-dusting agent, autolyzed yeast extract, modified corn starch, sodium phosphates, and other non-meat “extenders.”

DISGUSTING....

Taco Bell issued this statement yesterday:

“Taco Bell prides itself on serving high quality Mexican inspired food with great value…. We deny our advertising is misleading in any way and we intend to vigorously defend the suit.”

Next time you're at Taco Bell I'd recommend just a plain old cheese or quesadilla something. JEEPERS.

I also thought that it was funny that when I typed Taco Bell into Google images this was like the third picture to come up.
