A BRAND NEW YEAR!!!
I just got used to writing 2010 on all my papers and now I have to switch to 2011. Ugh.
Spending New Years Eve in the city is always great, as long as you have a cell phone, a credit card, and some sense of direction.
Or a few good friends.
Which leads me to my lesson learned of New Years Eve 2011- always look out for your friends.
We all found ourselves single this year. None of us really got to have the New Years kiss we wanted (I wanted Anderson Cooper... he was in Times Square).
That aside, this New Year's Eve was the best one I can remember. Maybe because I'm a year older, maybe because I was in NYC, or maybe because I got to spend it with 3 really great friends. Cheesy.
The moral here? Friends rule. In my case, it was someone to hug when the ball dropped. In Brianna Malone's case, it was tending to the massive hemorrhaging wound on her foot (And for all of us it was to help each other walk in 5 inch pumps).
Happy New Year to everyone!
(There's a verse in here about shoe-icide: this is a very valid theme song for my night).
